Banana Chips | Plantain Chips

Banana chips are all time popular snack made from raw banana, fried in oil and seasoned with spices like black pepper and salt.



INGREDIENTS:

Raw Banana ............................ 4-5
Salt .............................. As needed
Black salt powder ........ As needed
Black pepper powder ... As needed
Oil .............................. For deep fry



DIRECTIONS:

  1. Peel raw banana and using slicer or food processor make thin slices.
  2. Add slices into salt water and keep for 10-15 minutes. 
  3. Then take out slices from water and put it on towel or paper napkin to dry them out.
  4. Now heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.
  5. Once the oil is ready add slices for frying.  Fry chips till it becomes crispy and light golden in color.
  6. Remove chips from oil and drain excess oil on a piece of tissue paper.
  7. Then sprinkle black salt and black pepper powder.
  8. let it cool down for some time and store into an airtight jar.  It stays good for 1 month.
