Gondh Sukhdi | Edible Gum Bar | Gundar Sukhdi

Gondh/Edible Gum/Gundar sukhdi is the same as regular sukhdi but the only difference is gondh(edible gum) is extra ingredients. As you all know gondh is associated with good health, so here is one more recipe with this amazing ingredients.




INGREDIENTS: for 30-35 pieces

Wheat flour ...................... 1½ Cup
Gundar(edible gum)........... ¼ Cup
Ghee melted ......................  1 Cup
Jaggery finely chopped ...... 1 Cup
Ganthoda powder ............ ½ Tbsp.
Ginger powder ................  ½ Tbsp.


DIRECTIONS:
  1. Heat the ghee in kadai on medium heat, when hot fry gundar and keep it aside for cool down.
  2. Now add wheat flour into hot ghee and start stirring continuously until you get a nice aroma of a roasted flour.
  3. Then add chopped jaggery, and stir the mixture continuously.  When Jaggery absorbed properly add ganthoda and ginger powder.
  4. Crush fried gundar little bit and add into the flour mixture.
  5. When mixture starts coming together remove kadai from the heat.
  6. Take a baking dish with edges or a cake pan, apply a thin layer of ghee to it.  Pour the batter into the greased dish.
  7. Use a flat-bottomed katori to spread the mixture evenly in the dish. Now cut small squares or diamonds pieces with a knife.  When it is little cool down, then remove the pieces and serve.

Note: If you want to store sukhdi wait till it's completely cool down, then store in an airtight container.  You can store sukhdi at room temperature for 10-15 days easily.
