Jalapeno Pickle

Jalapeno pickle is simply delicious spicy bites. This pickle is made from Jalapeno slices, turmeric powder, mustard crushed, lemon juice and salt. Jalapeno pickle is absolutely wonderful and goes well with wheat roti, bajra roti, methi theplas and everything else.




INGREDIENTS: 

Jalapeno  ..............................  18-20
Turmeric powder ...............  ½ Tbsp.
Salt ......................................  1 Tbsp.
Extra virgin olive oil .............  3 Tbsp.
Mustard seeds crushed ......  2 Tbsp.
Lime juice ..........................  ½ Tbsp.



DIRECTIONS:
  1. Wash jalapeno and cut them into thin slices. Remove its seeds for reducing hotness. 
  2. Add turmeric powder and salt and fill in a glass jar for 8-10 hours. Mix 2-3 times in between. 
  3. Drain turmeric - salt water from the glass jar and put jalapeno slices on a paper napkin or clean plain cloth to dry for 2 hours. 
  4. Take olive oil in a pan and heat a little bit on slow flame. Add mustard seeds crushed and jalapeno slices and mix well. Remove from the heat and keep it aside for a couple of minutes. 
  5. Add lemon juice and mix well. Taste it and if salt or lime juice needed to add as per your taste. Mix well and fill into a glass jar.

Note: You can keep jalapeno pickle in the refrigerator for about 1 months.
