Peanut Tomato Chutney | Peanut Chutney

Peanut tomato chutney is an excellent accompaniment to South Indian meals. Peanut tomato chutney provides more taste and flavor to the regular Idlis. This simple, quick and fabulous chutney can be served with dosa, Idlis, and plain rice.




INGREDIENTS: for 2-3 servings

Raw peanut  ...................  ¼ Cup
Oil ..................................... 2 Tbsp.
Curry leaves ........................... 6-7
Garlic ............................... 3 Clove
Red chili whole .......................... 2
Onion pieces  .................  ¼ Cup
Tomato pieces .................  ½ Cup
Green chili chopped  ................  1
Salt ........................... As per taste
Water ................................. 1 Cup



DIRECTIONS:
  1. Heat oil in a small pan; add red chili whole, curry leaves, and garlic clove. Saute’ for minutes then add raw peanut and saute’ on medium flame. 
  2. Then add onion pieces and salt and mix well. After onion becomes little soft add tomato pieces and green chili chopped. Cook for 1 minutes then add 1 cup of water and cook for 2-3 minutes more. 
  3. Then take it out the pan from the heat and keep it aside for cool down. 
  4. Pour this mixture into a blender Jar and grind it to make a fine paste. 
  5. Peanut tomato chutney is ready for serve. Always serve fresh - do not keep it long.
