Suji Halwa | Rava Halwa With Milk | Sooji Ka Halwa

Suji halwa is very famous sweet for all kind of auspicious occasion. It is made from suji, milk, ghee, sugar and garnished with dry fruits.




INGREDIENTS: for 2-3 servings

Suji coarse .................... ½ Cup
Ghee melted ................  Cup
Sugar ...........................  ½ Cup
Milk ................................  1 Cup
Water ...........................  ½ Cup
Cardamom powder .......... 1 tsp.
Sliced Almonds ........... 3 Tbsp.
Raisin ..........................  2 Tbsp. ​



DIRECTIONS:
  1. Take 1 cup of milk with ½ cup of water in a pan and boil it.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan. Add suji into ghee and roast on medium heat.  Stir the mixture continuously till it becomes golden in color.
  3. Once suji roast properly and you can smell its aroma add sugar and mix it well.
  4. Then add ¼ part of boiled milk, and stir the mixture continuously.  When mixture absorbs most of the milk, add another ¼ part of milk and stir well, repeat again the same process and add all milk to the mixture.
  5. Stir the mixture continuously on low-medium heat till all the moisture has been absorbed and the ghee separates.
  6. At this point taste the halwa and if desired add sugar as needed.
  7. When ghee starts coming out from the halwa, add cardamom powder and raisins. Mix it well and roast for a minute. Now removes halwa from the heat.
  8. Garnish with sliced almonds and serve.
