Vegetable Dalia | Dalia | Vegetable Wheat Fada

Vegetable Dalia is a healthy one pot meal. Dalia means broken wheat which is normally used for making many sweet dishes. But here is the recipe of veg dalia which is considered to be one of the simplest and healthy food, low in fat & cholesterol, high in iron & fiber.



INGREDIENTS: for 3-4 servings

Dalia(Wheat Fada) ...............  1 Cup
Ghee melted ........................ 3 Tbsp
​Cumin seeds ..........................  1 tsp.
Mix vegetables ...................... 1 Cup
​Broken cashew ...................  ¼ Cup
Turmeric powder ...................  ¼ tsp.
Ginger paste ......................  ½ Tbsp
Green chili paste ................  ½ Tbsp
Salt ..............................  As per taste
Water ..................................  3 Cups


DIRECTIONS:
  1. Wash Dalia (wheat fada) for 2-3 times.
  2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker adds cumin seeds. When seeds crackle add turmeric powder, broken cashew, green chili paste, ginger paste and mix vegetables.
  3. Sauté on a medium flame for 1 minutes, then add washed wheat fada and mix well.
  4. Add salt, water and mix well.
  5. Then pressure cook for 5-6 whistles.
  6. Take it out from heat and let it cool before opening pressure cooker.
  7. Garnish with ghee and serve hot.
