Ragi Almonds Laddoo| Ragi Ladoo| Healthy Laddoo

Ragi is healthy millet and we all want to use in our daily meal. For that, I try to make many different dishes using Ragi and Ragi Almond Ladoo is one of them. I have added Almonds to make it richer and tastier. I used jaggery instead of sugar. So, overall the dish is healthier. This is also a healthy snack for the kids. The recipe is very easy and simple. Let's see how to make this healthy and tasty Ragi Ladoo...

INGREDIENTS: for 20-25 laddoos

Ragi flour ......................... 1 Cup
Almond powder ..............  1 Cup
Ghee melted ...................  1 Cup
Jaggery powder ..............  1 Cup
Ginger Powder ..............  1 Tbsp
Ganthoda Powder .........  1 Tbsp
Poppy seeds .................  2 Tbsp
Almond Chopped ........... 3 Tbsp

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan mix the Ragi flour and stir continuously on medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Add almond powder and roast for 2-3 minutes more. Stir continuously while roasting.
  3. Reduce the flame to low and add ginger and ganthoda powder and mix well.
  4. Add jaggery powder and mix well.
  5. After jaggery melt and mix with the mixture, add poppy seeds and chopped almonds.
  6. Remove from the heat and transfer to a plate.
  7. To make the laddoos, take about a  ¼ cup of warm mixture into your palm. Gently press the mixture between your palms to form a smooth, round ball.   Note: If you not able to make laddoo easily you can add some ghee,  it gives moisture to the mixture. So you can easily make a round laddoo.
  8. The laddoos can be stored in an airtight container for 2 weeks.
